We’ve put some neat stuff on our porch walls…We have more room on the walls there to decorate than in the cabin. We have over 1500 square feet of porches.

Every afternoon we have been getting those blow-up storms…and the Daisy the lab is getting worse and worse. She has started chewing and clawing at the door frame to the basement and, sometimes, the front door. I picked up some homeopathic calming medicine for dogs at Petsmart yesterday…we’ll see. I think we are going to need a doggie strait-jacket though.
That’s the word on the street I don’t know if that is the right take on it though. It does seem quiet on the roads so far this summer but I think there are too many cabins in the rental market and there is no corresponding increase in short term renters.
The tomato plants are growing like crazy. The roses are in full bloom (though still not as pretty as past years…the petals are thinner and more papery).
Yep, we finally got some rain. Saturday it clouded up and rained in sporadic fashion. It poured north of Blue Ridge and as far as Deep Gap. Not a drop at our house below Deep Gap. It did rain Sunday at our house but we weren’t there. We were out moving horses from pasture to pasture.
